Lithuanian organist Vladimir Antonov-Charsky is the 1st place winner in the prestigious Juozas Naujalis Organists Competition and was awarded a commendation by the Mayor of Vilnius Remigijus Šimašius.

Vladimir is currently studying at the Royal College of Music, London for a Master of Music. His studies are supported by the Richard Newton Scarth Award and a bursary assistance from the Royal College of Organists including the R. J. Pitcher Scholarship and Gwendoline Minshull-Jones Scholarship. He began organ studies in Lithuania and furthered studying organ at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague through the Erasmus exchange programme. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2017, Vladimir undertook a 3-month postgraduate study at the Mascioni organbuilding company in Italy.

Vladimir has held organ scholarships at the All Saints’ Church, Fulham and St. George’s Church, Beckenham. He frequently sings bass in the choir of the Russian Orthodox Cathedral in London and joins other choirs for concert performances and church services.

He has collaborated with the English composer James Young on his band’s two latest album releases. Vladimir presented many online recitals on YouTube during the coronavirus lockdowns.
